The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
